Kathryn has been appointed as the new Operations Manager effective from 19th September 2022. Hawke's Bay Netball has been without an Operations Manager for 2months after the appointment of Denise Aiolupotea as General Manager (previous Operations Manager).

Kathryn was born and bred in Hawkes Bay but has spent most of her adult life in Wellington and Auckland. She has been involved with netball since the age of seven either as a player, coach or manager.

For the past 15 Years Kathryn has been an intergral member of the Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre, as a Club President, an employee and a serving member of the Executive Committee.

Hawke’s Bay Netball’s General Manager Denise Aiolupotea said Kathryn will be a great asset to HBN team. She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Kathryn has lead competition management and administration for Howick Pakuranga Netball and has also lead representative programmes. Kathryn was a selector at the 2022 UNISS tournament and has managed a number of netball teams including the Comets (South Auckland National Netball League team) and Counties Manukau Open team competiting at the NZ Open Nationals in Palmeston North.

The Operations Manager role was introduced in 2021. Kathryn is responsible for overseeing all Hawke's Bay Netball competitions, new initiatives, HBN tournamnets, she is the key contact for our facilities, and will support the General Manager with funding and sponsor opportunities. 

Kathryn has joined the team at the back of the season which will allow her time to settle into her new role, learn the ropes and enjoy planning in preparation for the 2023 season.
